Men's Health Magazine will be publishing a feature article in an upcoming
issue tentatively entitled "Why Height Doesn't Matter." Our plan is to
profile 5 very successful shorter men from a variety of professions,
including business, entertainment, politics, sports, law enforcement and
medicine. The goal of this article is threefold. First, we want to educate
our readers about heightism, which has been called one of the last bastions
of discrimination in America. Second, we wan to inspire other guys of
below-average height that they, too can overcome this perceived "handicap."
And third, we want to address the issue of parents giving growth hormone to
their undersize kids in order to insure they grow up big, strong and
"normal."

Those being profiled must be prepared to talk frankly about the specific
struggles they've had, the anger they may have felt, and the things they've
done in the past to compensate. But most important, they'll need to divulge
the most important lessons they've learned along the way about achieving
success while being themselves.
